A good change in food from a normal routine is sometimes much needed. We are mostly eating spicy, salty dishes plus some sweet dishes in our normal meals. What if we get both flavours in one dish? Definitely, it’s something amazing & mouth watering. I’m here once again with another recipe of Honey garlic chicken, a quick and easy to cook recipe.

Ingredients

300 grams Chicken breast pieces

2 tablespoons Butter

2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons Honey

14 Garlic cloves

1 tablespoon Soya sauce

1 tablespoon Vinegar

100 grams All purpose flour

1 teaspoon Salt

1 teaspoon Black pepper

How to Cook Honey Garlic Chicken

Slicing chicken breast pieces: Take 300 grams of chicken breast pieces, slice each piece to make it thin  or you can escalope it using meat tenderizer. It’s completely your choice.

Coating all purpose flour: Tale 100 grams of all purpose flour on some plate. Coat dry all purpose flour on both sides of the escalloped chicken pieces.

chopping garlic cloves: Chop 14 to 16 garlic cloves finely.

Honey sauce preparation: In a bowl add 1 tablespoon vinegar, 1 tablespoon soya sauce, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon black pepper and 1 teaspoon salt. Mix it well and keep it aside for the next step.

Cooking chicken: In a pan take 2 tablespoons of extra virgin oil, heat it and add coated chicken pieces in it. Cook on a medium flame by changing sides until chicken is tender, golden brown and crispy from both sides. Dish it out and keep it aside for the next step.

Cooking honey garlic sauce: In a pan take 2 tablespoons butter, melt it and add chopped garlic in it. Cook until golden brown. Time to add sauce, prepared in step 4. Cook it for 3 to 4 minutes on medium flame.

Cooking honey garlic chicken: Add cooked chicken in cooked honey garlic sauce. Cook it on low flame until you feel the sauce texture is thick, that’s the point where your honey garlic chicken is ready to serve and eat. Dish it out and spread leftover pan sauce on it.

Pro Tips

  • Adjust salt and black pepper quantities according to your taste. 
  • You can add 1 teaspoon of chilli flakes in case you’re a spicy food lover. 
  • You can serve it with rice, steamed veggies, pasta, roasted potatoes according to your choice.
