Ingredients
Medium sized 6 tortilla (wheat or all purpose flour)
100 grams cheddar cheese
75 grams sour cream
50 grams mayonnaise
2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chili flakes
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 medium yellow bell pepper
1 medium red bell pepper
1 medium avocado
1 medium carrot
1 medium cucumber
2 small or 1 medium tomato
1 medium onion
1 large lemon
50 grams coriander leaves
200 grams chicken breast piece
How to Make Mexican Chicken Tortilla Wrap
Chicken Preparation: Take 200 grams of chicken breast piece, cut into strips. Add chicken strips in a bowl and marinate it with ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon paprika powder, 1 teaspoon chili flakes, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon vinegar, 1 teaspoon soya sauce, 1 teaspoon chilli sauce and ½ lemon. Keep it aside for further steps.
Cutting & Chopping: Cut avocado, tomato, onion, carrot, cucumber, red and yellow bell pepper in long slices as shown in picture below. Dip sliced onion in water to get rid of bitterness and smell of onion. Chop 50 grams of coriander leaves.
Sour cream preparation: Add 75 grams of sour cream in a bowl, further add 50 grams mayonnaise, ½ teaspoon paprika powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ lemon and a few coriander leaves. Mix well and your yummy sour cream sauce is ready to be filled.
Cooking marinated chicken: Add 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and add marinated chicken in it. Sauté it until the chicken turns its color to white golden. Cover it and let it simmer for 5 minutes on a medium flame. Keep cooking until you feel like chicken is tender. Dish it for the assembling step.
Grating cheddar cheese: Take 100 grams of cheddar cheese and shred it for the assembling step.
Assembling: Here comes the time to assemble all the filling in the tortilla. Take a medium sized tortilla, spread white sauce on it. Add chicken slices and a few slices of all veggies. Next add a few coriander leaves and cheddar cheese. Roll tortilla in the form of a wrap.
Goldenizing wrap & dish out: This step is the final and most amazing step. Grease griddle with a few drops of oil, put wrap on it and cook from both sides until golden brown and crispy. Dish it out.
Yummy Mexican chicken tortilla wrap is ready to eat, serve it with a few slices of lemon and veggies.
Pro Tips
- You can adjust spices in chicken marination and sauce according to your taste. This wrap was not too spicy.
- In order to handle wrap if your filling is coming out, you can use toothpicks to fix it.
